In closed heating systems from 300 kW, the
EN 12828 mandates that the system is equipped with a component-tested
water shortage protection.
Application
For closed heating systems to secure the boiler operation
according to EN 12828 in case of low water level. Also for securing during
heating of the heating water due to insufficient flow.
Description
Mechanical water shortage protection based on a float. Consisting
of a probe body made of brass casting with welding pipes and
float mechanism, electric switch, test and
release button. TÜV-certified as water level limiter. If the
water level in the boiler
falls below a minimum value, a switch is actuated via a float.
The power supply to the boiler operation is interrupted. A
locking prevents automatic reactivation. With the help
of a test button, the float can be pushed down and
water shortage can be simulated.
